Mothers keep a close eye on the den and will move the pups to another location
if the den has been disturbed by people.

The babies will begin to come out of the den at about 3 weeks of age.
Determining if rehabilitation is needed.

*If the babies are not injured, leave them alone.

*You can check back in 6-8 hours.

* If the babies are quiet, or no longer there, the mother is taking care of them.

                                          * If they are crying in distress
or too weak to hold their head up,
                                          call a wildlife rehabilitation center.
